Thousands of students have prospered from direction provided by the Runnin' Rebels Junior Cadet Youth Development Program. Many have taken advantage of the opportunity offered to build toward a career in the city's police and fire departments.

Still others are involved to reap the benefits of partnerships established with Ivy Tech State College and Indiana University Northwest, bringing students college credits in areas such as law enforcement, fire science and health services.

Now, the thousands of youths taking part in the program have another motivating factor.
