Q: I'm worried about my dog being around all the Christmas decorations my wife and I are using in our house this holiday season. Is there anything I should be concerned about?
A: Yes, there is. I want to let you know how hazardous the holidays can be for your pets. Trees with glittering lights and tinsel can look good enough to eat. Meat bones that shatter as well as rich table scraps and chocolate (which is poisonous to pets) become treats. The comings and goings of guests can upset regular routines. All of these and more can be upsetting, dangerous -- or even fatal -- for dogs and cats.
