Article: Man beaten in county jail's parking lot

JOLIET -- A fight in the parking lot of the county jail early Thursday ended with a man taking a beating at the hands of an attacker who had pummeled him just recently before, police said. The beaten man suffered a broken nose and fractures to his cheek bones in the 12:30 a.m. attack, police said. The 11 stitches the man had put in his nose after the earlier beating also started bleeding. He was treated for his injuries at Silver Cross Hospital.

The injured 38-year-old man ran into his assailant in the jail parking lot while he was with two women, police said.
