Three-year-old Noah Sanchez barely smiles as he sits up in a hospital bed after being diagnosed with a second brain tumor. Doctors at Children's Memorial Hospital in Chicago removed a brain tumor the size of a tennis ball from an area near Noah's brain stem in November. He recently had an operation to remove a second.
Noah Sanchez opens gifts from Carol Doodeman's fourth-grade class at Fox Meadow Elementary School in South Elgin. The class made books and cards and raised money to buy gifts for Noah, who they have "adopted."
