Blair Hull
Blair Hull is filthy rich, and voters don't hold it against him.
The Democratic U.S. Senate candidate, who is expected to pump $40 million of his own money into the race, holds a solid lead over his opponents in the March 16 Democratic primary, according to a Hollinger newspapers poll conducted by the Daily Southtown.
Hull was favored by 27 percent of the survey respondents who said they were likely to vote in the primary. State Sen. Barack Obama of Chicago and state Comptroller Dan Hynes are tied at 17 percent, followed by Cook County Treasurer Maria Pappas at 14 percent, former Chicago school board president Gery Chico at 5 percent, radio talkshow host Nancy Skinner at 2 ...
