Editor's note: Another in a series of student-written columns marking the 30th anniversary of Naperville Community Unit School District 203. *** It's School District 203's 30th anniversary, and we are thinking about all the similarities and differences between schools today and 30 years ago.

Two basic similarities are kids' rights and responsibilities. For example, today every student has the right to a good education. That was also a right 30 years ago. Today students have the responsibility of doing their work, being honest and truthful, adhering to school policies and respecting the property of fellow students. Thirty years ago, students had many of these same responsibilities.
