Article: Don't take college education for granted

My wife and I visited two of our grandchildren at college last week. We drove to Bloomington and picked up one at Illinois State and then went to Champaign to meet another. We talked, walked and had a meal with both of them. This is as good as it gets. To be with those we love is a true peak event.

However, as we were planning this trip, it struck me how much my perspective has changed in recent years. I find that I am taking the college education of our children and grandchildren for granted.
