Article: Village officials support subdivision, public golf course

Plainfield Village Board members, plan commissioners and Economic Development Committee members Monday got a look at the concept plan for a subdivision that would cover nearly 900 acres of farmland on the southwest side of the village. The groups met in a joint workshop meeting Monday night to go over the concept plan together.

Springbank subdivision would be south of Renwick Road, east of County Line Road, west of Drauden Road and north of the Joliet border. The development would include an 18-hole public golf course, a school site, a private aquatic facility, an 11- acre commercial site and an assisted living site.
