Article: Life in the slow lane; Road construction makes drive on Caton Farm Road a chore

Rob Buettner of Chamlin and Associates takes measurements on the north side of Caton Farm Road during the road improvement project. Construction on the eastbound lane of the road will begin this month.

Around 4 p.m. on any given weekday, traffic heading west on Caton Farm Road from Route 59 isn't going anywhere fast. A long string of vehicles formed a virtual parking lot along the construction route one afternoon last week, each driver waiting for his or her turn through the intersection with Drauden Road. Since June, Caton Farm Road has been under construction from Route 59 to the west end of the Wedgewood Golf Course.
