DEMOCRAT ANNOUNCES BID FOR COUNTY BOARD POST
Democrat and Downers Grove resident Rich Moss announced Thursday his candidacy for DuPage County Board District 3, challenging incumbent Michael McMahon, R-Hinsdale, in the November 2004 general election.
Moss said in a statement that he plans to bring fiscal responsibility to the board and represent the interests of the majority of DuPage residents, "not just a select few."
He criticized the all-Republican County Board for considering pay raises for themselves in the face of county employee layoffs and cuts in services. He also pledged that, if elected, he would take no compensation or benefits for one year, instead directing those funds back ...
