Article: Golf course scratched from Springbank subdivision plan

The proposed Springbank subdivision, a large residential development that would be on the southwest side of the village, will probably not have a public golf course as the developers originally envisioned.

Developers Bill Haider of MAF Developments and Clayton Olsen of Parkview Developers last appeared before the Plainfield Village Board at a June workshop meeting. They presented a concept plan for the development that included the golf course, and it was generally well-received by members of the Village Board, Plan Commission and Economic Development Committee.
