Hotel Baker is set to go up for auction this summer.
LaSalle Bank has hired Sheldon Good and Co., a nationally recognized real estate auction and brokerage firm in Chicago, to market and auction the historic St. Charles hotel.
"It is a crown jewel," said Steve Good, company chairman and chief executive officer. "It is a terrific opportunity for the right buyer. A deal like this doesn't come around very often."
The firm will conduct an absolute field bid auction requiring potential buyers to submit a bid to the firm's Chicago office in accordance with the real estate sales contract, along with a check totaling 5 percent of the bid on or before 3 p.m. July 22. Under the contract, LaSalle ...
