Wheeling Park District commissioners recently approved an $11.1 million budget that includes funding for the long-awaited renovation project at Chevy Chase Country Club.
The budget includes about $530,000 for the renovation at Chevy Chase Clubhouse, 1000 N. Milwaukee Ave., and about $200,000 for professional services to design the indoor pool at the Community Recreation Center, 333 W. Dundee Road, said Tom Busby, superintendent of finance.
Another capital improvement project planned for this year is the renovation of Pleasant Run Park on Pear Tree Lane. The park district also budgeted $30,000 for a community survey expected to be distributed this fall.
