It's been a while since I've seen radicalism on campus. Having matriculated during the Big '80s and not the Days of Rage, radicalism in my day was a relative thing -- mostly the Bob Marley crowd protesting whatever they could come up with once in a while, just to get the party started.
In fact, I remember one time when the gang in Che Guevara T-shirts sat down on DeKalb's Lincoln Highway (Route 38 to you and me), blocking traffic to protest, I believe, a looming tuition increase. The bad news is many of them were hauled off in plastic handcuffs. The good news is their civil disobedience nipped tuition increases in the bud once and for all. Or not.
