Charges have been filed in the shoplifting spree that led to a brief police chase before ending in a parking lot Wednesday.
Edward L. Green, 37, of Chicago, was charged with five counts of retail theft, one count of reckless driving, one count of fleeing and eluding police, one count of hit and run, and one count of driving with a suspended license suspended -- all misdemeanors -- Naperville police Sgt. Joel Truemper said Thursday.
Green was transported to the DuPage County Jail, where he remained Thursday night on $5,000 bail, the required 10 percent of his $50,000 bond.
Eureka S. Redd, 28, of Chicago, was charged with one count of retail theft. She posted a $100 cash bail and was released, ...
