Article: Montgomery wants village hall sooner

MONTGOMERY -- The village is ready to move forward with plans for a new downtown village hall in the coming years. The Village Board has come to a consensus to start in earnest on the new village hall, which would be built at Clinton and River streets on the west side of the Fox River, said Village President Marilyn Michelini. The village hall will be roughly 20,000 square feet and could be built by 2007, Michelini said.

The building will be constructed to be able to serve Montgomery for the next 20 years, according to studies by village consultants.
