Halloween begins the season of holidays and school parties -- a time of frenzied fun for most children. But for children with severe peanut allergies, the holiday isn't always a time of light-hearted and carefree enjoyment. Letting just one bite of a peanut-laced candy bar slip into the mouth of a peanut-allergic child can cause problems ranging from hives or watery and swelling eyes to life-threatening anaphylactic shock.
