WHEATON -- DuPage County's technology committee chairman may pull the plug on his own committee.
Technology committee Chairman James Healy, R-Naperville, said Tuesday he plans to recommend the County Board chairman dissolve the committee because it has no policymaking or budgetary powers. Technology issues would be folded into the finance committee agenda.
The technology committee has no funding, and its recommendations such as computer upgrades, paperless permits and detailed online meeting agendas must go through other committees for final action.
"I've been frustrated with those things over the last two years," Healy said.
