The Glen Ellyn Chamber of Commerce is hosting the city's annual holiday walk, "Let There Be Peace on Earth," from 6 to 9 p.m. Nov. 26 in downtown Glen Ellyn. Stroll with friends and neighbors on streets decorated with glittering lights and seasonal wreaths. Enjoy the old fashioned pleasures of window- shopping, while admiring each shop's theme.

At 6 p.m., Santa Claus will arrive to light the great tree at Main and Crescent streets. Along with his helpers, Santa will share Christmas wishes with children from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Glen Ellyn Fire Station.

Free carriage rides also will be available during the holiday walk, with pick-ups at the corner of Main and Duane streets. The ...
