I don't carry a cell phone. I was afraid of these bothersome gadgets well before hearing the recent reports of cell phones that explode. Can you imagine being killed by your cell phone? Countless newspaper readers would get a good chuckle reading about your bizarre death. So I don't have a cell phone, but at my house everyone else does. They wouldn't be without them. After all, one never knows when Ed McMahon might call to say you have won the Publishers' Clearinghouse sweepstakes. You wouldn't want to miss that call.
