Louise Ray's voice trembles with excitement and faith when she tells the story about what happened that Sunday afternoon in St. John's Missionary Baptist Church at 104 E. Zarley Blvd.
The date was Sunday, Oct. 31. And she received a miracle healing of her cancer.
Accompanied by her close friend Tony Ray, Louise was making rounds at four local churches introducing two local county candidates before the election. But she felt something special when she entered St. John's and sat down in a back row.
In August, cancer was discovered after Louise received hysterectomy surgery. She was undergoing chemotherapy treatments at a clinic and had lost most of her hair.
