The electrical wires in southwest St. John should be buzzing in a different tone this spring.
Thirty steel utility poles are being installed this week as part of Northern Indiana Public Service Company's enhancement of the electrical system in that area, said utility spokesman Tom Stevens.
"We're extending the line to improve customer service in the area and reduce the load on the circuits currently serving that area," he said.
