Class is the first word that springs to mind when I think of Jim Riggleman.
Fair and even-keeled, he is as solid as a rock, a skipper who has kept the Good Ship Cubby from floundering on the treacherous reefs.
Some might mistake his mild-mannered attitude for wimpiness, but there's a trace of steel in his eyes.
Riggleman provides a refreshing contradiction in professional sports, which is taking the low road, equating uncouth behavior with entertainment value.
