In "The Bridges of Madison County," a brother and sister learn, after their mother's death, that she had a brief but passionate affair years before.
This news is a bit of a shock, though they eventually come to terms with it.
That same scenario is unfolding for all of us right now, but the details are not likely to be the foundation for a best-selling novel or a movie starring Meryl Streep and Clint Eastwood.
