A new program aimed at fighting memory loss and easing the lives of those who suffer from it has started at Chancellor Gardens of Merrillville.
The Memory Enhancement Program is designed to slow the progression of memory loss.
Specially trained staff use techniques and approaches that include daily memory skill-building, said Joyce Simard, vice president of Alzheimer's and special programs for CareMatrix Corp., the owner and operator of Chancellor Gardens and about 50 other senior living communities nationwide.
