A gala masquerade ball this Halloween season promises fun for grown-ups and will help abused children.
The Porter County Child Abuse Prevention Council is sponsoring the ball Saturday, Oct. 30, at Sand Creek Country Club to raise money for education and awareness programs to prevent child abuse, event chairwoman Sandra Mannakee said. The ball is open to the public.
This is the first masquerade ball and, in keeping with the goal of protecting children, the theme for the evening is Childhood Memories.
