Deaf Services, Inc. is taking this opportunity to respond to comments generated by Virginia Thrower's column appearing in the Post-Tribune on July 26. We appreciate the column as it called attention to the concerns of the deaf community in Northwest Indiana.
Deaf Services Inc. was established in 1978 by the deaf as a not-for-profit agency to serve the deaf. Several of these deaf founders continue to serve on the DSI board of directors and particularly lookout for the issues such as those recently raised in the Post-Tribune. As members of ...
