Angry residents of the city's north side packed the City Council meeting Wednesday night and demanded to know when a fire station would be built to serve their community. The homeowners, many of whom have lived in the Cressmoor subdivision for 30 years or more, also quizzed the council about when their streets would be paved and when storm sewers and curbs would be installed in their neighborhood.

"We've been waiting three years. When is the fire station going to be built," asked Gary France, one of about 25 homeowners from the Cressmoor subdivision who attended the meeting.
