It is estimated that by the end of 1998 there will have been more than 70 new bowling balls introduced to the public this year. The sad part is, balls aren't selling as well as they have in the past.

Bill Morton, president of the International Bowling Pro Shop and Instructors Association, explains, "there really isn't that much difference in the balls themselves, and there are just too many out there.

"Brunswick was due to bring out yet another ball recently, but at a meeting with representatives of IBPSIA last month decided to hold off."
