Article: COVER STORY Chase Elementary School, 711 Chase St., Gary, is hosting a City-wide Elementary School Cheerleading competition at 9:00 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 24. Participants will be judged on a sideline cheer, a two-minute dance, uniformity, loudness, synchronization and spirit. Admission fee is $1 for adults; 50 cents for children. Cheering squads can be found at the following elementary schools: Aetna, Banneker, Beveridge, Brunswick, Carver, Douglass, Drew, Jefferson, Kuny, Locke, Melton, Norton, Pittman Square, Ernie Pyle, Riley, Spaulding, Vohr, Washington, Williams.
