About a dozen Russian farmers are coming to Northwest Indiana for nearly a month in a program being coordinated by Dan Fleming and Dave Yeager in the Porter County extension office.

They will arrive Oct. 14 and remain until Nov. 12, Fleming said this week, staying with farm families in Porter and Jasper counties.

The visitors "are those who have excellent prospects of becoming top producers in Russia," Fleming said, and will be here to study American farming and marketing techniques for use in their country.
