I wasn't at Woodstock. Too bad. Missed a great party.
And I don't remember the first Earth Day, April 22, 1970.
Maybe I slept through it. I don't see how I could have, though, since it was a Wednesday, the middle of the work week.
Wednesday or Saturday, it wouldn't have made much difference.
I wasn't doing much daytime sleeping in April 1970. I worked every day of the week, Monday through Friday as a caseworker for the Lake County Welfare Department and Saturday and Sunday as a driver for Calumet Cab in Whiting. A growing family on a civil ...
