A bravura performance by Danny DeVito and a young-but-gifted supporting cast save "Renaissance Man" director Penny Marshall from her penchant for overstatement and big warm fuzzies.
DeVito is Bill Rago, a Detroit advertising executive with a low responsibility quotient. One last screw-up lands him in the unemployment insurance line.
