Tennis anyone? That's more than an expression in Northwest Indiana. The area's World Team Tennis Recreational League has expanded to include 24 teams competing in three divisions.

"The idea is to get more players involved in this community sport," said league director Donn Gobbie of Gary.

Last summer, the WTT consisted of 16 teams, representing local cities and towns. This year's expansion also was done to help ease travel, Gobbie said.

Match play began June 5, with all teams competing at Merrillville High School's 10 courts.
