It did not seem that all was well with the robin at Summertree Golf Course. The bird was lying on its belly, wings spread, feathers fluffed out to the fullest, beak half open.
It seemed oblivious to the golfers nearby - until a golf cart came a bit too close. The bird took to the air. By the time it had lit on a nearby branch, it had regained the trim, sleek appearance of a normal, healthy robin.
The robin had a problem, but nothing as awful as it had appeared. It was seeking relief during its summer molt by ...
