That was the main message for concerned citizens who filled the Crown Point High School cafeteria Wednesday night for an update on local gang activity.
Sue Schultz of the Crown Point Police said gangs are "going crazy" in the city and "have a lot of money and drugs at their disposal."
Schultz announced a new program in Crown Point schools called EDGE - for Education for Gang Evasion - which targets third- and fourth-graders in an effort to improve their self-esteem.
