Brandon Leer Schnaare often played a childish game by falling to the ground and catching himself with his tiny hands. The last time he fell, he dropped into a pile of hot coals at a local park.
His hands were covered with second- and third-degree burns, and - even after weeks of therapy - his right hand was drawn into a permanent fist.
Brandon, who will turn 2 on Oct. 30, underwent a second round of burn surgery for two hours Wednesday. Doctors at Deaconess Hospital grafted skin from his groin onto his right hand.
