Robert Beard of Gary is not much of a "let's-get-out-on-Saturday-night" person.
He said he's either working or studying, and besides, the singles scene is a bit too stressful for his liking.
"You go out on Saturday for the pleasure, but it's more of a dilemma," said the 26-year-old student at Indiana University Northwest in Gary. "You get more stress, I think, going out than you do staying home."
Beard is far from alone in his feelings.
