BOWLING
Northwest Indiana bowlers had another record-breaking week last week. Not only was a new season high set for the men, but seven men also bowled perfect games.
Manuel Alvarado strung together a consistent 279-280-279 series at Olympia Lanes on Dec. 12 in the Monday Invitational league to set the new season-high series, an 838.
He bested by two pins the previous mark, set by Brian Klenk on Nov. 29 at Camelot in the Tuesday Major B league.
Alvarado's super series put him 60 pins ahead of last week's runner-up, Kert Hansen, who rolled games of 232-279-267 for a 778 at Plaza Lanes in the Wednesday Service Club ...
