Preventing outbreaks of bacterial food poisoning like the recent one in Washington state is as easy as 1-2-3, health officials say.
One: Wash your hands after going to the toilet or changing a diaper.
Two: Supervise children's hand-washing.
Three: Don't eat ground meat that is pink.
Three children have died and more than 400 children and adults have gotten sick over the past month from bacteria that originated in undercooked hamburgers served in Seattle-area fast food restaurants.
