The fight over sewers to the Southlake Mall is heating up. Attorney Michael Muenich told the Merrillville Sanitary District Thursday night that he would file countersuits today against Hobart and the Merrillville Conservancy District, said sanitary district board chairman Donald Levinson.

The countersuits are in response to lawsuits Hobart and MCD filed separately against the town, charging that the newly created Sanitary District is illegal and has no right to encompass or control the Conservancy District, which has proposed extending sewers to Southlake ...
