Senate Minority Leader Dennis P. Neary of Michigan City announced Wednesday he would not seek re-election in order to devote more time to his family.
Two other veteran legislators, Republican Sens. Ed Pease of Brazil and Joseph V. Corcoran of Seymour, also joined the growing ranks of lawmakers announcing they will not be seeking another term.
"With growing family and financial responsibilities which include two sons in college, a daughter in junior high, a 19-month-old daughter and (my wife) Suzan expecting in August, we have agreed that it is time to move on to other challenges in life," Neary said.
