Notre Dame nose guard Chris Zorich was so happy the Bears drafted him Sunday, it didn't matter that they waited until the second round.
"I'm excited," he said. "Elated. I feel like I can walk on water."
For three years, the dominating nose guard walked all over opposing offensive lines. He capped his senior season by playing his last four games on a dislocated kneecap.
His ability to tolerate pain endears him to Coach Mike Ditka. He considered Zorich's lion-sized heart, something which NFL talent scouts don't include in their statistical charts.
