Hoping to lure Americans back to red meat, a food giant on Wednesday introduced a 96 percent fat-free ground beef product that uses a new fat substitute made of oat flour to keep burgers juicy. Healthy Choice Extra Lean Ground Beef, which has been test-marketed in nine states since mid-August, should be available nationally by the end of the month, ConAgra Inc. said.

"Our hope and dream is that they eat it when they go out, when they come home, on the bus, on airlines, submarines and any other time that they feel like a great hamburger," said Chairman Charles Harper.
