Q: Tiny, our 2-year-old chihuahua, gave us a terrible scare last week. She had given birth just a week earlier to four beautiful puppies. Then suddenly, she became very sick - she began trembling and then went into seizures. Our veterinarian said she had used up all her calcium reserves and that she could have died within a few hours.
