Their faces give them away every time, says sculptor Robert Witt. "It's intriguing. People either like my death masks or not at all. There's no middle of the stream," said Witt, a teacher at Griffith High School.

His death masks, sculpted out of clay and utilizing the countenances of his former students, are on display at Creative Artists Gallery in Greentree Plaza, at 1511W. 81st Ave., off U.S. 30.
