Tell City is waking up and shedding its sleepy town image as new businesses arrive with jobs and opportunities.
"There's just a lot more excitement around here than there was, and people are a lot more positive," said Mayor Bill Goffinet said. "People are more willing to take a chance on us."
Mark Flannagan recently opened new dental offices in the Tell City Clinic after noticing a change in the southern Indiana community he left 10 years ago.
"They look a bit more to the future instead of to the past, instead of always talking about the way things used to be," said Flannagan, 28.
