No one in Lake Superior Courtroom 4 was shocked Tuesday when a judge imposed the death penalty for one of Lake County's bloodiest crimes in recent memory.
Dennis Ray Roark remained silent and composed as Superior Court Judge James L. Clement said he had no alternative but to order the 26-year-old Gary man's execution for killing his girlfriend, their two young children and his girlfriend's mother.
