The Minnow was saying CBS-TV bailed out too quickly on Jimmy "The Greek" Snyder.
Washington had just defeated Minnesota and won a spot in Super Bowl XXII. The game had been on CBS where Snyder parlayed a career as a sports gambler into TV gold until his mouth overloaded his brain.
"CBS overreacted," I agreed. "Anybody who punched out Brent Musburger can't be all bad."
"I forgot about that," The Minnow said. "They tried to smooth that over. Not this one, though."
