They've been an organization of losers for 25 years.
Ordinarily, that wouldn't be anything to crow about, but, since losing is their business, it's reason to celebrate - as long as the birthday cake is low-cal.
Weight Watchers, formed in May of 1963, is marking its 25th anniversary this year. The organization was conceived in 1961 in Little Neck, N.Y., where six women met in the apartment of Jean Nidetch, who shared her latest diet with them and went on to found Weight Watchers.
